I'm BACK!!

Boy, it sure has been awhile since I graced the blogging world with my presence! One would think that I suddenly dropped off the face of the earth!
It didn't happen!

Quite a lot has happened for this Queen over the last four-ish years!

I shall not go into the boring detail of it all. I return with promises, however. Promises to myself, my readers (if there are any left), and anyone reading now.
1. I will publish more interesting content.
2. Posts will be mostly positive!
3. Posts will be published regularly!

I apologize to anyone of my past, regular readers for disappearing. I'm back!

That Face

Oh That FACE!
My son is keeping me updated fairly well with photos of this precious little soul.

I absolutely can not WAIT to snuggle him again.

His eyes get a little more blue every photo
His hair is a little more red
I keep thinking it's not possible for him to get any cuter

Then I see that face
I'm so in love!

The Day After...

The day after what? Father's Day. One of the most difficult days of the year for me to get past without feeling melancholy. I miss dad. He was such a fantastic man. So much charisma. I wish I could have just one more long conversation with him...one more discussion about Christianity....and life. I wish he could meet the little guy who's name is like his, and who keeps his memory even more alive in my heart.
(Didn't know that was possible.)
On a little more positive note...my amazing son is just as amazing a father already, and he was able to celebrate his very first Father's Day yesterday! It's really incredible how proud I am of him. I fall in love with him many times over again as I look through all the images I was able to take of him simply being the incredible man he is while I observed him caring for and falling in love with his own little man every day.
From the very first moment...
thru the first day in the hospital

on to day two
creative feedings

Soaking in the special moments

Eskimo kisses
Big Blues!!

I was only able to observe first hand for the first few weeks of his life...and I am SO anxious to get back there to spend some more precious moments with them! Daddy was keeping me updated with daily pix, but he's going to be busy with graduate classes for a couple weeks, so I guess I'll have to keep stalking facebook to keep myself current until he's finished!
(Chompin at the bit!!)
Thank heavens for modern technology!

One month old as of yesterday.
(My first "stalked" FB pic)

I am beyond blessed to have had such an amazing dad.
To have an amazing son, and now, an amazing grandson!

Favoritism

God is not a respector of persons.
Why are some people? True believers in their own superiority??

The crazy thing is that those who are the most guilty of the offense are those pointing their fingers the hardest.

Frustrating for peacemakers.

For the falsely accused.

Sad and painful. Pray for these folks. All of them.
